How To Write An Ideal Resume
When you start searching a job for the first time you start to realise the importance of a resume. We always try to make our resume attractive so that HR picks up my resume and not others. But the illusive question is how to do it? Even if you are not a fresher, a good resume can land you in a better company than the previous one.
Every day hundreds of resume come to the top companies. Most of the times the HR officer only scans a few lines of the resumes. Otherwise, the stack of resume will keep increasing on the desk. So to get noticed in the crowd you should be innovative, creative and attractive while writing your resume. Otherwise you will find out that despite the same educational qualification and work experience your competitor is getting the job and you remain invisible to the HR.
Let me share some tips with you about how to write an ideal resume:-
1. Creativity is the key. Be creative in the look, format, layout and presentation of your resume. Something that looks good always grabs the attention of everybody. So if your presentation is done properly then it will certainly get the attention of the employer.
2. When you are making a resume always keep in mind what is the job profile and position that you are getting from the company. I mean you can be an English graduate and then you did MBA. The job you are applying for is for the post of a marketing manager. So you better highlight the MBA degree and not English.
3. Keywords catch the eyes of a HR officer very easily. Suppose you worked for a “Fortune 500” company. Maybe there is someone better than you in educational qualification. But if you properly highlight the “Fortune 500” section then HR won’t even notice your educational background.
4. Career objectives section is an inner view of the applicant’s mind for the employer. Make sure he gets a positive idea about you.
5. Highlight your uniqueness and achievements. If you are a fresher then highlight what different you do or did in your school/college life. Your interests, awards etc. If you are experienced then write your achievements briefly in the companies you worked before.
